A: Yes, the Regence Caring Foundation is a registered, 501 (c)3 organization.
A: Donations provide comprehensive dental services to low-income children living in Idaho and Utah (donations made in Idaho stay in Idaho; donations made in Utah stay in Utah).
A: Children from birth to 17 years old can receive oral health care services facilitated by the Regence Caring Foundation, although most of the children enrolled are five to 10 years old. 48% of these children come from families with an average annual income of $25,000 or less. And 60% are from Hispanic or Latino families (many may be undocumented with no other resources for care).
A: Eligible children (200 percent and below Federal Poverty Guidelines) are enrolled for one full year; a second year is available based on medical necessity.
A: No. All of the Regence Caring Foundation's general administrative costs are donated by Regence, which allows 100 percent of the profits from fundraising events and other donations to provide free dental care services to children.
A: Yes. We partner with organizations like Health Access Team, Community Health Connect, Head Start and Sealants for Smiles, as well as community health clinics, Women, Infant and Children (WIC) clinics, school nurses and teachers to identify children in need.
